What should you do in case of an emergency?
First, don’t panic, the damage is done, and nothing in the world will undo the it. If it’s during an intense storm, your safety is the most important concern. Do not do anything that may put yourself in danger. If the damage was caused by high winds and debris, stay away from your windows and glass. If it can be done safely, do what you can to minimize any damage that may occur from water entering the house. Next call your insurance agent, that’s what they are there for.
Do NOT under any circumstances attempt to repair the roof damage yourself. It is possible that the integrity of the roof has been compromised in other areas, and attempting to fix the roof yourself is not worth the risk of injury that may result. Finally give us a call, and we can get someone out there as soon as we safely can.
How do we respond?
Unfortunately, in most cases, we will not send anyone up to repair your roof during a severe weather event. Our primary concern is the safety of our employees and our customers. We will not send an employee out to repair your roof in the middle of a lightning storm, a heavy blizzard, or put any employee in an unsafe situation. In the event that your roof is damaged in a storm, we will come out to help as soon as we safely can. Remember things can be replaced, people can’t.
Immediately after the storm we will come your home or business and conduct a complete inspection of the roof, fascia boards, flashing, and any interior damage. We will also inspect all areas of the roof, chimney and exterior to make sure that there was no other damage. We can provide emergency services that will allow the elimination or reduction of additional environmental damage. As soon as we can determine what needs to be repaired or replaced we will provide you with a written estimate.
